nude model during boudoir shoot

The shooting Day

Wake up, take a deep breath and prepare yourself for a pleasant trip where you’ll be the star: the shooting day will be completely focused on you.

You will be welcomed in my home photography studio, where we’ll have a short briefing in front of a tea (or a coffee) and we’ll take a look through your clothes to put together different styles for various looks and poses. Then my hair and make-up artist will take care of you and make you feel fabulous.

You’ll have time to relax and unwind whilst chatting with me and Morena, the Art Director, about the feel for your photoshoot.

Then it’s time to put on your first outfit and have your picture taken.

Boudoir Shooting Day

Reveal your inner beauty

Have Fun!

Having boudoir photos taken is an empowering experience, so leave everything else in your life to one side and be ready to have a fun and exciting day.

It’s completely normal to be a wee bit nervous before your shoot, but please don’t worry because everyone takes a while to warm up and we will give you all the guidance you need. During the photo-shoot Morena, the Art Director, will take care of all the details and will show you how to pose, ensuring you are looking perfect for each shot and showing off your beautiful self.

I’ll start with nice, easy, natural poses that you don’t have to think too much about, and we’ll work at your own pace till we have the shots we need.

Boudoir Shooting Day

Time to be rewarded for the great work

Modelling in front of the camera can be a hard job: now it’s time to relax, celebrate and take a look at the great result!

Once the shooting is finished, you can already view the photos and select the ones included in your package that will be retouched and delivered within a maximum of 15 days. You’re the only one who knows which photos best represent the side of you that you’re trying to show, but I’m happy to offer my opinion if you need it.

Take your time and treat yourself to fresh fruit and bubbles: being beautiful requires energy.

Here are some tips to help the day go smoothly. Read more on the Getting ready page.

Wear loose-fitting clothing to your session to avoid red marks on your skin (no tight socks or tight clothing, for instance) and eat something light but filling before you leave the house.

I work with natural light and so it’s very important to be on time for your shoot. Consider leaving a wee bit earlier than you think you need to, so that if you get delayed you’ll still get here on time without having to stress about it. If you turn up early it’s no problem, I’ll make you a nice cup of tea and you can relax for a bit.

Take your time to be amazing: rushing a shoot never works. If you have to be somewhere else afterwards please let me know when you arrive.

Friends and parents are not supposed to be with you during the shooting day. In my experience, the best way to get the best Boudoir Pictures is to have fun and be extremely confident, and this is not possible if the model stays in front of someone not directly involved in the experience.

You can bring someone to meet me and check you’re comfortable with me and the studio, but I ask that they leave when we start make-up (my make-up artist also can’t work if you’re chatting to someone else).
